Hello, my name is Shelbie, I have worked in mental health for several years as a nurse. Supporting recovery is an important part of my role as a psychiatric nurse.
Recovery is an exciting time for people, there is usually a marked improvement in quality of life when a person is engaged in their recovery. Recovery is very personal, and unique to the symptoms you have experienced, and to the degree of impairment in functioning that those symptoms caused you.
My goal in this website is to provide you with valuable information to support you in your recovery. The information I provide is based on my knowledge, and experience working in mental health.
I hope the information provided is helpful, and valuable to you in your recovery. I also encourage anyone to share your story of recovery, to inspire other people through your shared experiences.
